From rough to ring
Our atelier in Bangkok. An Asian location with an Italian eye.
01ChanthaburiStone hunting at the gem market in Chanthaburi. Parcels opened on white paper, one stone chosen from hundreds.
02The benchEach stone is cut in our Bangkok atelier. The cut follows the stone, not a template.
03The settingNicoletta draws the setting around the stone, so the light gets in.

The founders
Nicoletta & Mario
Pedra began with a stone and a question: what should it become?
Nicoletta Rosati travels, and the pieces carry what she brings back — a colour from a market, a line from a doorway, a shape that stayed with her. She draws every design.
Mario Guido Rossi is a gemologist. He sources rough and cut stones worldwide, from the gem markets of Chanthaburi onward, and follows each piece through cutting and setting in our Bangkok atelier.
Italian by origin. Made in Bangkok, one stone at a time.

Treatment, said plainly.
Every stone travels with its papers: origin, cut, weight, certificate. Written exactly as the lab wrote it. Never more.
- No heat
- The colour it came out of the ground with. The lab found no sign of heating.
- Minor oil
- Common for emeralds. A little oil in surface-reaching fissures, graded minor by the lab.
- Heated
- Standard heating only. Stated on the certificate and on this site.
